Description | Coarse Red Ware, crude with cylindrical neck and vertical loop handle ( lost) Plain. Small. Narrow-necked jar/bottle with an ovate body, cylindrical neck, rounded rim, 1 strap handle extending from the neck to the body, and a flat base. No molded/modeled additions. The vessel has traces of red paint on the surface. The vessel was likely fired in an oxidizing atmosphere as the ceramic paste is orange in color. The catalogue number is written on the bottom of the base and black ink on the bottom of the base reads: "928a." |
