Description

Chinese woodblock print. Landscape on a fan. A lake from which mountains rise at the back; pavilion on a point of rock; trees and two houses in the valley at the right. Poem at lower left. Blue, grey and brown. Illustration from "Studio of the Mustard Seed Garden" a manual for artists, first printed in 1679. Prints 35-5-1 to 35-5-95 are from an edition printed before 1870.
