Description | Silver with gold overlay. Semicircular blade with straight shaft rising from flat top of blade. Two wide gold bands on each face of shaft. Large human face in gold overlaid on each side of end of shaft; one of the faces has earplugs like 60-4-2 and -3, the turquoise missing from the left one; features of faces and a scroll ornament on the foreheads in relief. The silver probably originally was extended to form a rayed headdress. Beaded collar below neck of each face may indicate inlay decoration now missing. |
