Description | Dance collar or neck ornament with beaded designs. The collar is a horizontal rectangle, slightly curved upward in the center, made from dark blue wool with a green border. The collar has a beaded floral design in pink, green, white, red, and yellow beads. A semicircular ornament hangs from the collar made from the same dark blue and green cloth. The hanging ornament has a beaded design of a central raven or thunderbird flanked by two similar birds. The central raven is skeletonized with ribs and a central lifeline exposed, as well as a face on the tail. The flanking birds have beaded feather ornamentation. The design is done in black, green, yellow, blue, white, red, and orange beads. Both the collar and the hanging ornament have two rows of white beads lining the borders. |
