Description | Flat base, flaring side and impressed with band of geometrical design, midway Cup or 'qero' with a flaring body, no neck/collar, flattened rim, no handles, and a concave base. No molded/modeled additions. Impressed with a band of geometrical design. There appears to be a scraped finish on the exterior. The vessel was likely fired in an oxidizing atmosphere as the ceramic paste is buff and orange in color. The catalogue number is written in black ink. Black ink on the bottom and interior of vessel reads: "1208." |
