Description

Gourd sound box, snakeskin cover. On covex side of gourd, a square of hide attached by twisted sinew to narrow band of hide to which snakeskin is sewed. Two upright wooden bars extending outward and upward to wooden cross-bar, from which the strings of thin twisted leather are stretched to cover wooden peg at base of sound box. Hide sling.
