Description | Frame of woody vine stems; two long pieces make opposite corners, cross at bottom center; ends lashed to rounf piece forming top of basket; sides and bottom twill woven with tan warp and black-painted weft; red and white angular designs painted on sides; warp lashed to top, weft to sides. Used for storage of cotton or peanuts, hung upside down from rafters; when old used to carry garden produce. |
