Description

A soft paste blue and white cylindrical bottle (A) with a lotus scroll motif. Has a Qianlong mark (1735 - 1796 CE). It has a fitted wooden stand (B). This type was originally used for containing medicine, and later adopted for snuff bottles. The mark is not reliable for dating, but the type is characteristic of the 18th Century.
