Description | Striking end shaped like animal head, with snout prokecting forward for about 7.5cm. Nostrils, eyes, mouth crudely incised. Starting back of eyes and continuing to narrowed grip end of handle, incised lines on all sides depicting type of animal? Many parallel vertical incisions, possibly feathers. Two crude arms (or legs) and digits incised near grip on snout side. Possibly a ceremonial baton. Shape similar to 428 |
