Description | Body sherd from jug, coarse reddish yellow (5YR 6/6) to slightly redder fabric, painted on exterior only with reddish black (10R 2.5/1) paint. Decoration in added white paint consists of triangular area and two rectangles. Decoration in added white of a different type (perhaps originally another color?) consists of band across edges of triangle, continuing across sherd, reversed S's between band and rectangles, band dividing rectangles from zone of S's, and zig-zag across rectangles. Apparently joins upper side of a sherd published by Mariani. |
