Description | Black-on-Red flask; Incomplete; fragmentary; badly rotted and flaking; thin fabric; gray core; much of decoration visible in original photo no longer discernible. Ring base; depressed ovoid body with greatest diameter at shoulder; tall, narrow, straight neck; pinched rim; vertical handle from rim to mid-shoulder. Two painted bands encircling upper neck; shallow, thin, incised lines encircling lower-shoulder;shallow, thin, closelt-set vertical flutes on body; possible traces of paint on handle. |
