Description

Lightweight wooden statue group of European explorer being carried by two natives. Natives are barefooted and dressed in trousers and tunics wearing hats with rests on top. Large oval eyes, flat noses, lips are parallel ridges. Painted all over pinkish-white thick pigment except for bluegreen pupils, outline of eyes and rests on heads. Flesh darker pink, especiall back native. "Sedan chair" is cloth suspended on pole held by natives. All yellow over pinkish white except for bluegreen pegs fastening cloth. Explorer straddles cloth, arms at sides. Dressed in Safari suit, pinkish white with bluegreen trim on arms and buttons. Black and pinkish white boots. Pinkish white pith helmet. Face is yellow over pinkish white. Eyes oval with blueegreen outlines and pupils. Sharp, well defined nose and lips. Group is on narrow rectangle base, pinkish white with bluegreen grid pattern on sides.
