Description | Finger piano (Timbila). On a base of wood, fifteen metal keys os varying lengths are set in place and raised off the base by a strip of flat metal which is slightly wider than the base; metal stip is rounded on proper left side and also has a hole through the strip. Round metal rod that is slightly larger than the base hold keys in place; rod is secured to base by four smaller pieces of metal that is looped around the rod, piercing through base with ends folded down to sides. Zig-zag line carved on back of base; illegible word carved and another written in pencil. |
