Description | Rectangular sleeping mat made of plaited split pandanus leaves. Finishing the mat at the ends and sides creates zigzag edges and, just in from the edges, a narrow line of overlapping stitches. Further in is a wide border of alternately oriented triangles formed by purple parallel lines. The purple color was obtained from carbon paper or ditto masters. |
