| Description | Lower part of thickened strap handle with bit of lower attachment. Clay light orange with light brown outer surface which is in turn covered with a light yellow slip. On the outer side of the handle two pairs of broad lines cross in an X formation. The glaze is dull black, perhaps maganese. Mrs. Caskey: "not sure." No. 36 on her list. |
