Narrow-necked jar/bottle with an ovate body, flaring neck, rounded rim, 2 strap handles on the body, and a rounded base. There are no molded/modeled additions and no decoration. There appears to be a smoothed finish on the exterior. The vessel was likely fired in an oxidizing atmosphere as the ceramic paste is orange in color. Fireclouding is present on the base. There is a braided plant fiber rope around the neck. The catalogue number is written on the interior of neck. Black ink on the bottom of the base reads: "1262g." |
