Loren Eiseley Leadership Giving Society

Named for the University’s first Benjamin Franklin Professor, Provost, and Curator of the Museum’s Early Man Section, the Loren Eiseley Leadership Giving Society (LES) is the Penn Museum’s leadership unrestricted annual giving group. These distinguished donors make unrestricted gifts of $1,500 or more to the Museum in a given fiscal year.

Through their generosity and vision, LES members provide 70 percent of all unrestricted support and serve as an inspiration to fellow Museum members and friends.

Ben Franklin

Benjamin Franklin Society

Members of the Penn Museum’s Loren Eiseley Leadership Giving Society at the Silver Circle and above are recognized as members of the Benjamin Franklin Society. Founded in 1955, the Benjamin Franklin Society (BFS) is the University of Pennsylvania’s leadership unrestricted annual giving group, acknowledging distinguished donors who make gifts and pledge payments of $2,500 or more to annual giving funds across the University in a given fiscal year.

Sara Yorke Stevenson Legacy Circle

Sara Yorke Stevenson Legacy Circle honors individuals who commit financial resources to support the Penn Museum through legacy gifts. It is named after one of the Penn Museum’s founders and the first woman to receive an honorary degree from the University of Pennsylvania.
