Dr. Elizabeth Hamilton

Elizabeth is a Research Coordinator in the Asian Section at the Penn Museum, and received her PhD in Anthropology from Penn. Her analytical specialty is archaeometallurgy, but her primary interest is in using the technical data to shed light on cultural practices. She became interested in Southeast Asian prehistory through her study of bronze and iron artifacts from Ban Chiang and nearby sites in northeast Thailand, which will be published in the second volume of the Thai Archaeology Monograph Series. Elizabeth developed the second-generation MMAP database now in use, and was the MMAP trainer for databases during 2009a and 2010 seasons. MMAP seasons: 2009a, 2010, 2013
