The Young Friends of the Penn Museum is a group of active members ages 21 to 45, with a mission to raise awareness of the Penn Museum among the area’s young professionals and graduate students; help to attract new young members to the Penn Museum; and to support and promote the Penn Museum’s mission through a variety of social, educational, and fundraising activities.

Recent events have included:
· Love Hurts, an exploration of the harsher side of love and relationships with salacious tales of romance from ancient Egypt and Greece.
· We See Dead People, a paranormal investigation of the Museum's galleries with the Free Spirit Paranormal Investigators.
· Prostitution Ancient and Modern: A Tell-All Confession, a lively discussion of prostitution in ancient Turkey and its modern scholarship with Dr. Nick Rauh of Purdue University.
· Vampires, Demons, and Mystical Creatures in the Ancient World, a discussion of monsters in ancient Egypt and the Mediterranean followed by cocktail hour and the opening of Fang! The Killing Tooth.
· Wined Through History, a scavenger hunt through the Museum’s galleries paired with a wine tasting featuring wines from various regions in corresponding galleries.
· Sex and the (Ancient) City and Ancient Girls Gone Wild, Valentine’s Day-themed happy hours and discussions of love, sex, and eroticism in the ancient worlds.
