Description | Small flat concave base, off center, making pot lopsided; elongated spherical body; long slightly concave neck to round mouth with bevelled rim. Rounded strap handle from shoulder to mid-neck. clay: gritty light gray-brown. Slip: light buff to yellow, horizontal burnish. Paint: matt reddish brown to dark gray, firm. Inside neck and extending onto rim: 4 groups of 3 outlined dots. On neck and body: zones of dotted vertical stripes and vertical wavy lines marked off by dotted horizontal stripes and latticed-lozenges. Lower belly: 9 groups of triple vertical lines. On base cross of triple wavy lines. |
