Description

Sommerville: Antique paste intaglio, color ruby. An Asiatic King. Antique Pastes, Case VVV.

Vermeule: Paste, colored Ruby. Intaglio. (Unmounted) Diademed, draped bust of an Asiatic King facing to left. The features suggest a Parthian ruler of the Roman Imperial Period. Graeco-Roman.
