Description | Cotton. Narrow red, white, blue-white jaspe. Wide blue border stripes. All over silk brocade in red, yellow, blue-green, purple and white zigzags. Old. As per Sigrid Meier, "Warp: 42 epi, three singles, Z twist, red and white cotton with two singles, Z twist, ikat of white and blue cotton with denser warp setting in blue border stripes. Weft: 12 ppi, four singles, Z twist, red cotton. Warp faced plain weave. Supplementary weave is single faced. Two panels, three selvedges each. Woven on a backstrap loom." |
