Description

Red and yellow discs cut from shell attached in pairs to a plaited fibre string, which was originally longer. Celt-shaped pendant of tortoiseshell suspended by a short string passed through four small discs of the same materal as the other discs, called aaht. Aaht was formerly currency as well as ornament.
