Description | One piece of cloth brocaded decoration: 12 cm band of multicolored stripes at each end; blue center broken by ten 1/2 cm wide white sttripes; 3 rows of figures in the blue. Small tassels form fringe on either end. As per Sigrid Meier, "Warp: 62 epi, 2 singles, Z twist, indigo cotton. Weft: 32 ppi, 2 singles, Z twist, indigo cotton. Warp plain weave. Supplemental weft: double faced (figures), single faced (stripes). Made on a backstrap loom." |
