Description

Sash for a man of noble class. Blue and rose lengthwise stripes. Brocaded with rows of conventionalized figures in red, green, turquoise and yellow cotton and red, white and purple silk. Ends fringed.

As per Sigrid Meier, "Warp: 54 epi, three singles, Z twist, rose and blue cotton. Weft: 24 ppi, three singles, Z twist, blue cotton. Supplementary weft is single faced. Warp predominantly plain weave. Woven on a backstrap loom."
