Description

Arrowhead or point (石鏃). Leaf-shaped with short stem. Tip of each end missing. Retouched on both sides. Gray stone. 13169 is one of many stemmed points in the collection. Stemmed points or arrowheads appear in sites from the Late Paleolithic to Yayoi Period. Without context arrowheads such as these can only be assigned a broad date range. This example is particularly finely retouched.
