Description
Cigarettes. Gulong. Long cigarettes consisting of tobacco wrapped in banana leaves. At Tama Bulan's house Furness and Hill wateched women making cigarettes for the festivities attending the naming of Tama Bulan's son: "we contributed freely from our store of tobacco for the manufacture of cigarettes. . . . while some prepared the dried banana leaves, others rolled the cigarettes; some rolled them on their thighs, others on polished boeards held in their laps."
