Description | Short iron dagger/knife with wooden handle. Double-edged blade swells slightly at the end before tappering to tip. Incised decoration on both faces of blade consists of three (3) medial lines joined by transverse lines. Central medial line, which is longer than the two flanking lines, terminates with punched dot. Flanking each side of the medial decoration are two (2) punched creascent-and-dot motifs. Two (2) incised transverse grooves run perpundicular to the medial lines. Next to hilt, on one face only, is stylized star motif composed of four (4) double-edged punches. Handle is of "hourglass" shape with medial ridges on both faces. Rounded metal knob with serrated rim and punched dot border is nailed to base of handle. |
