Description | Panel for huipil, white, plain weave cotton cloth, red woven stripes along selvedge edges, single faced brocaded design, chevrons, diamonds, triangles and stripes, cotton thread, main colors red green lavender and yellow. As per Sigrid Meier, "Warp 46 epi, 2 singles, Z twist, hand spun white cotton. Weft: 32 ppi, 2 singles, Z twist, hand spun white cotton. Warp plain weave. Supplementary weft: 2 faced. 1 panel - 4 selvedges. Made on a backstrap loom." |
