Description

Point or arrowhead (有茎石鏃). Triangular point. Stem is long and narrow. Bifacially retouched. Brown streaked translucent stone. 13179 is one of many stemmed points in the collection. Stemmed points or arrowheads appear in sites from the Late Paleolithic to Yayoi Period. Without context arrowheads such as these can only be assigned a broad date range.
