Description | Red cotton ground with yellow and green cotton and purple silk brocading. Stylized flower and chevron motifs. Bird motif in blue. Twined fringe on ends. As per Sigrid Meier, "Warp: 48 epi, three singles, Z twist, red, yellow and green cotton. Weft: 24 ppi, four singles, Z twist, red cotton. Warp predominantly plain weave. Supplementary weft is two faced. Woven on a backstrap loom." |
