Description | Cylindrical basket with slightly expanding sides and an inverted bottom. Decorated with upper and lower bands of false embroidery in "blanket border" patterns (or blue and white China patterns per Teri Rofkar). Central band of the spear barb variant of the "half the head of a salmon berry" pattern. Patterns in shades of brown. Technical notes: twined, close twined, two-strand, in-between weave (with plain), three-strand, wrapped weft ("false embroidery"). 21 warps, 26 wefts per square inch. Bottom in between. |
