Description | Huipil for a young girl. One piece with a blue-black top with a heavily brocaded shoulder band and scattered figures of three legged animals in red, violet and white cotton and yellow, deep rose, white and green silk. As per Sigrid Meier, "Warp: 38 epi, three singles, Z twist, indigo cotton. Weft: 22 ppi, three singles, Z twist, indigo cotton. Warp faced plain weave. Supplementary weft is two faced. One panel, four selvedges. Woven on a backstrap loom." |
