Description | Purple, orange and green silk brocading on white cotton ground with purple stripes. Zipper at neck opening with roundel and embroidery. As per Sigrid Meier, "Warp: 58 epi, single, Z twist, two strands, white. 56 epi, two ply, Z twist, one strand, purple. Weft: 24 ppi, two ply, Z twist, two strands, white. Supplementary weft: White: 5/1 overlay, multiple strands, single faced. Motifs: purple cotton. Magenta, green and orange silk. Overlays wrapping. Three selvedges per panel. Woven on a backstrap loom." |
