Description

Head or hair ornament. Oval piece of cotton cloth covered with rows of nassa shells, chain stitched through fabric. At center an open "I" shaped area of cloth, colored with red pigment. Plaited ties of plant fiber at ends. Attached to one tie, a scrap of cuscus (possum) fur.
