Description

Base-sherd from an "in-and-out bowl" with an incurved rim set of by a groove. Fine, light red (2.5YR 6/6) clay with a paler core and an unevenly colored paler surface, with decoration in red paint. Wiped with water and burnished. Tortoise-shell ripple both inside and out. Comments: MM III-LM IA. For in-and-out bowls see vol. I, no. 23. For Ripple Ware see vol. I, no. 24.
