Description

Composite arrow: reed shaft, hard wood point. Nocked. Very fine binding at juncture between shaft and point, covered with some sort of sealant. Wood carved with relief points, incised chevrons, etc. Red, white, black pigment. 4.7 cm. at tip bound and sealed, with two tiny backward-facing barbs. Bone point broken off? Exhibited at l'Exposition universelle de Paris 1900.
