Description | Layout plan of Konkai Komyo-ji Temple, also known as Kurodani, in Kyoto. Writing at the top of the print reads: 黒谷金戒光明寺全圖. To either side inscription states 15 places with beautiful scenery of Mt. Shiun. Woodblock print of temple grounds with large and small Japanese buildings, trees, roadways and stairways. Many of the buildings are identified in Chinese characters in rectangle. Line border. Writing at top and lower corner. Black pigment on white paper. Landscape done from bird's eye view. 29-96-708A and B are cover pages. |
