Description | Thin, curved wood figure with crested hair, large inlaid "bullseye" eyes, wide smile. Closely resembles a figure that has long been in a museum in Leningrad. Published by Thor Heyerdahl in "The Art of Easter Island," Plates 65 and 66 of which were presumably used as a model by the carver, Easter Island artist Benedicto Tuki Pate. Like 2015-13-4, this figure is probably larger than the original prototype. |
