Description | The traditional blouse (kebabu) worn by women in Donggo. Made of a single piece of material double over and sewn at sides. V cut for neck. Wheel-spun cotton dyed with local indigo. Blue and green stripes of nggoli, a synthetic thread bought in Sila. Hand sewn, very fine workmanship. Made about 1975, Larodu hamlet. Black, with barely visible narrow stripes. Wider, brighter stripes consisting of 4 narrow blue bands or 4 narrow blue bands edged with light green thread. Bottom of neck hole, front and back, finished off with pink stitching |
