Note that this film was transferred at the wrong speed, it should have been transferred at 24fps. In addition, the sound track is missing.

This short outttake features footage of Vincenzo Petrullo, then of the University of Pennsylvania, showing R. Fenimore Johnson, funder of the Matto Grosso Expedition, his archaeological digs near the village where the rest of the film "Matto Grosso the Great Brazilian Wilderness" (1931) was filmed. It is possible that they considered editing this sequence in to the final film but it did not make the cut.
