The Museum received some 2000 objects from the Kourion excavations as a result of a division of finds with the Cyprus Department of Antiquities. Although the Penn expedition excavated in a number of different sites in and around Kourion, the Museum’s collection consists primarily of objects from five areas: the Sanctuary of Apollo Hylates, Sotira Teppes, Kaloriziki, Bamboula, and Ayios Ermoyenis.
