Gifts of Time

We are grateful to everyone who enriches the Museum with the gifts of their time and expertise, from the community partners whose collaboration makes our public programs and learning programs vibrant and engaging, to the many volunteers and staff whose exceptional efforts span every section of the Museum. We thank them for their time, their advocacy, and their exceptional dedication to sustaining our research, teaching, collections stewardship, and public programs.

Gifts of Time

We acknowledge and thank, with profound gratitude, the members of our leadership volunteer groups: our Board of Overseers, the Director’s Council, the Penn Museum Advisory Board, and the Penn Cultural Heritage Center Advisory Board. Their service, their personal and collective leadership, and their strategic guidance have been vital to advancing the strategic initiatives that guided our Museum and our Building Transformation in last fiscal year.

We also recognize and are deeply grateful to the 168 volunteers who contribute their time on a regular, ongoing basis in nearly every curatorial section and department, and for many projects and programs. In 2018–2019, these individuals contributed 13,186 hours of service—a tremendous gift that advances every aspect of our Penn Museum.

Finally, we thank all of our staff in the Museum Departments and Curatorial Sections, whose work each day, every year, is nothing short of magnificent.
