Description | Bronze. Ibex standing on a straight bar, head turned front. Body of the animal -- and the bar -- are incised with straight lines and chevrons. Rings at ends of the bar above birds' heads (or rams(?). All animals are in the round. Legrain publication: "Bronze cheek piece of a horse-bit. The piece is a flat bar ending in ram's heads, with the usual rings above. A small ibex stands in the middle of the bar head turned front. The body - and the bar - are incised with straight lines and chevrons. 142 x 66 mm." |
