Description | Three panels stitched together, red and white stripes in lower two thirds with thin accents of blue, green and orange striping, center piece had warp faced bodice of red with supplementary weft brocaded in bands in purple, orange, green and magenta, appliqued neck border of white cotton with magenta and royal blue scalloped braid design, all cotton yarns. As per Sigrid Meier, "Warp: 76 epi, single, Z twist, white cotton. Weft: 24 ppi, single, Z twist, white cotton. Warp faced plain weave. Supplemental weft: single faced and two faced. 3 panels - 4 selvedges each. Made on a backstrap loom." |
