Description

War headdress called "Ears of the Grizzly" of the famous warrior, Yakuan (LS). Made from a piece of bear fur bound in the back with hide straps. The fur is cut with two raised sections in the front, each topped with an ermine pelt. A piece of abalone shell is attached on one side with carvings resembling a skull in profile. Said to be made from the skin of a bear killed by the wolf knife, NA11763.
