Description | Flexible twined basket-bag; conical, bottom edge is rounded. Warp of commercial twine (unravelled), weft of corn husk (or grass); top edge is finished off with braided twine and covered with red flannel loosely sewn on and now partly gone. Short rawhide handle attached on one side. Design panel going a-round sides done in wrapped twining and con-sists of weft materials dyed black forming 6 vertical lines of finsh, four in each line; probably salmon; enclosed by single row of black at top and bottom. |
