Description | Incomplete front, V shaped neck, woven on wide loom, faded blue and white warp pattern, narrow plain white stripes, figured stripes of two birds facing a flower with backs to a tree, other figured stripes of flowers and conventualized vines. As per Sigrid Meier, "Warp: 36 epi, 2 singles, Z twist, white cotton. Weft: 26 ppi, 2 singles, Z twist, white cotton. Supplemental weft - two faced. 1 panel - one selvedge. Treadle loom." |
