Description

Puzzle. Pu-la-au. "A cord is doubled and passed with a noose through two or three holes in a block of wood ... the object being to remove the block while another person holds the end of the cord." Made in Museum by four Native Hawaiians, 1898. Found bound to another puzzle (CG2018-4-1). Present configuration of cord reproduced from Culin's drawing in "Hawaiian Games."
