Knife

Iron-bladed knife with ebony and ivory handle: wooden sheath covered in copper sheet. Curved blade with median rib. near hilt both sides are decorated with Islamic inscriptions. Handle is constructed of transverse alternating bands of ebony and ivory sandwiched between iron terminals. On one side of the handle, small iron nails and natural and possible colored ivory discs have been inserted to form geometric design. Iron handle terminals are decorated with incised diagonal designs. Collarded sheath has two (2) opposed rings cut through collar band. Sheath is deacorated with incised and repousee cross-hatching and transverse lines.
